The FinTech software provider strengthens its position within CRIF as it appoints new General Manager
Strands, a leading FinTech company specialized in advanced digital banking solutions, is embarking on a new phase of growth under a revamped strategy of its parent organization, CRIF, a global company specialized in credit bureau, business information, credit and open banking solutions.
Following CRIF’s acquisition of Strands in March of this year, the Barcelona-based FinTech is now becoming CRIF’s strategic hub for innovation in the design, development and implementation of digital financial management solutions. In this way, Strands takes on an exciting pivotal role within the Group, with its PFM and BFM tools becoming two of the core products of CRIF Digital Next suite of solutions.
Strands PFM helps retail banking customers understand their financial situation and makes financial decision-making simpler, faster and more intuitive. As for Strands BFM, it allows SME banking customers to manage their day-to-day activities with the confidence that comes from foresight and planning. Both solutions are white-label and AI-powered.
CRIF Digital Next is a collaborative technology platform that allows financial institutions to orchestrate a truly open offer through an ecosystem of partners. It empowers its customers to seize all the opportunities generated by PSD2 with a solution that allows them to access, aggregate and classify accounts from any bank within the European Union.
New Staff Appointments and New Department
As part of this expansion strategy, Mr. Edoardo Borsari has been appointed as Strands’ General Manager. Mr. Borsari currently serves as International Market Director at CRIF, a position he will combine with his role as Strands’ GM. Mr. Borsari has been working in financial services for two decades, with a particular focus on product management and business development.
Another addition to the company is Mr. Claudio Cungi, who has been named Strands’ new Head of Product. Mr. Cungi joined CRIF in 2018 as a Product and Business Development Manager for Open Banking and FinTech services.
The company has also created a new department, dedicated to Consulting and Key Account Management.
“Together with CRIF, Strands is in an exceptional position to support the rapid growth of digital banking services. Our mission is to enable banks to anticipate customer needs and proactively suggest next-best-actions, and we are excited about this opportunity to continue delivering on that promise.”
