Strands’ Director of Technology, Pablo Reyes, explains how Strands moved all of its infrastructure to the cloud, thus taking advantage of the latest technologies
Strands participated in the Oracle event ‘Cloud revolution: user experiences in banking and retail’, which took place in June in a virtual format. Strands’ Director of Technology, Pablo Reyes, was one of the speakers and presented ‘Road to the cloud, solutions for digital banking’ session.
During the session, Pablo explained how Strands moved all of its infrastructure designed for on-premise environments to the Oracle cloud, thus making its applications more cost efficient. Evolving towards more complex architectures and taking advantage of the latest technologies, Strands is now able to offer a much more innovative service to some of the largest banks in the world.
Questions such as if it is possible to securely manage critical data in the cloud or how the second generation cloud can maximize the financial results were discussed in this event alongside topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Innovation or secure management of critical data. These topics are some of the essential ingredients of Strands and JogoTech (an expert company in Retail) solutions, the two protagonists of the event.
