STRANDS participated in Mobey Day in Toronto on May 23rd and 24th 2018 – an event focused on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & Changing Spending Habits.

Luís Rodríguez, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at STRANDS moderated a panel entitled “A Game Changing year for Retail Banking” alongside Erste Bank Group and Danske Bank.

Barcelona, June 5, 2018. As Member of the Board of Mobey Forum and long-standing co-chair of international Open Banking working groups in collaboration with Jordi Guaus of Caixabank, STRANDS was in Toronto for the most recent event, Mobey Day, held in the city’s emblematic Steam Whistle Brewing building.

In the months leading up to the launch of Mobey Forum’s White Paper on Open Banking – the result of numerous working groups on the subject with banks and financial institutions around the globe – particular emphasis is being put on Open Banking in the long term and the opportunities it offers to understand the customer and their habits on a deeper level.

After talking to the panel members at the Mobey Day event, it is increasingly clear that Open Banking is more than simply a technology or regulatory project, it is a business model transformation.  As a fan of Game of Thrones, I would say “Open Banking is coming” without a shadow of a doubt; the biggest changes are yet to be seen”. Luís Rodríguez, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at STRANDS

“Mobey Forum is doing groundbreaking work in the banking and Fintech arenas, bringing financial institutions together to debate issues that affect banks, retail and SME customers across the board.  Robotics, Machine Learning and AI are revolutionizing this space and at Mobey Forum we are doing our bit to ensure that it’s for the better Jordi Guaus, Chairman of the Board, Mobey Forum
