Strands is honored to join the global industry association empowering banks and other financial institutions to lead the future of mobile financial services. The newly forged partnership will see the two companies work shoulder-to-shoulder during the events, workshops and shared mission to innovate together with other Mobey Forum members.

Mobey Forum is the global industry association empowering banks and other financial institutions to lead the future of digital services, connect industry thought leaders and understand the key commercial drivers creating a better customer experience. Mobey Forum activities extend far beyond popular quarterly member meetings – members actively engage in workshops to discuss industry developments.

This is an important agreement for Strands. Mobey Forum provides an opportunity to establish strategic discussions about SME Banking and show growing opportunities for banks worldwide to tap into SME segment which has traditionally been considered as “the missing middle”. One of the key initiatives is to start a SME Banking Workgroup in order to develop the understanding of SME finance management needs and challenges, analyse geographical differences in the SME behaviour. Strands SME Banking workgroup and Mobey Forum members can innovate together and create new value propositions for their SME segments.

With the ultimate goal being to close the SME finance gap, Strands General Manager Pau Velando and Head of Product Strategy Oscar Sala will also be one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming member meeting taking place in Rotterdam on 21st – 23rd of March. Oscar and Pau will be presenting “SME Banking Paradigm shift: Why, How & What?” – a presentation focused on providing banks with valuable insights about how to serve their SME clients better”
